Best Pinsa in the city! I've tried out a few pinsa places, and Gusto is definitely top tier. It's tiny inside (though that doesn't matter right now) but the service is good and the food is top notch. The diavola is on the spicier side, which is awesome. It's somehow as filling as pizza without being as greasy/unhealthy. Friendly staff, good food, quick turnaround

The crust is the best!!!!! Please click on the link to the Gusto Pinsa Romana website (link above) & take a look at the interesting 2000 year old history of the dough that they use to make their pizza. All of the toppings that we've tried have been wonderful, but it's the crunchy & fluffy crust that they bake that make this pizza so unique. The staff here is very friendly & are very good at making suggestions of what to order.

Insanely good! Everything is delicious! If you’re visiting and staying near Union Square or Knob Hill, I’d highly recommend the walk up/down the hills to get to this place.The customer service is so pleasant and welcoming both on the phone & in person. The dining space is small and somewhat limited so be prepared to wait or order to go.I will absolutely be recommending this place to many people & returning myself!

The food is amazing, the staff is fantastic (Saam in particular was awesome). I got the montanara, which was delicious. If I could rate this place higher, I would. So glad y'all came to the neighborhood - this'll be a new regular spot for sure.

Such a great pie. Fantastic service and cool decor (shout out to the Roman emperor bathroom wallpaper). So glad I wandered into this place. 1 pinsa is a perfect split between 2 people.

Quarantine times, we ordered delivery. We got the Montanara and Cotto and funghi. Both pizzas were delicious. Great fluffy, light dough. Delicious ingredients. The cheese on the Montanara was perfect.Highly recommend!

Solid pizza. Outstanding crust is crispy and light. Sauce was good. Best pizza was the eggplant with Parmesan cheese.

seriously best pizza in SF right now. a MUST try. (vegetarian & vegan friendly options available!) it's not thin crust or thick crust, it's in it's own category of soft and fluffy deliciousness. It is not thick or dense, but light delicate and airy and just melts in your mouth. It is seriously the best pizza i have had in a long long time

Love this restaurant! Their style of pizza is super unique, never had pinsa pizza until I came here. My favorites include the San Danielle and the lamb sausage pie! Also the cesar salad they serve is fantastic, order it with extra anchovies if your an anchovy lover like myself! Awesome restaurant.

I had to give this place a try after reading all the great reviews. I was staying near Union Square and this is a short walk up the street. Ordered a "pinsa" with Italian ham for carry-out and it did not disappoint. I would like to return on my next trip and Tate some more dishes. I recommend giving it a try!

It's hard to find food that reminds me of Europe but this place nailed it. The pinsas and all ingredients on it oozed quality. It's also a tiny enough spot to feel cosy and everything about the decor was done up tastefully. I feel happy just sitting inside. You need to try pinsa once in your life and you should probably try it here!

Delicious "pinsa," very fresh and wonderful flavors. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Tiny spot so you may have to wait, but worth it.

This place is really good. I don't usually like deep dish pizza but this is light more like baguette. Yummy!!! I had the mortadella and my boyfriend the margarita. I like the mortadella, would have put maybe a bit more seasoning on it. The basil on the margarita was delicious 😋. Enough food to share. Very generous portions. Super friendly service and quick. Unique and delicious. Great place to eat before show at the Masonic (5 min walk)

Amazing Pinsa! Much lighter than pizza and feels much healthier while the fresh ingredients taste great! I recommend starting with the classic Margherita then trying others like Triple P, Montanara and more. Everything is great. If you dine in, it’s better for an intimate 2-person meal rather than a bigger group.

Pretty amazing meal. They had a very well-balanced pear and gorgonzola salad, cut the crust on their Pizza is super special. I haven't had anything quite like it, it is very light but still flavorful.

Fantastic "pinsa" pizza. If you enjoy a perfectly baked, thick, airy and crusty bread topped with simple ingredients, this is absolutely the place for you. The service was incredibly friendly and frequently stopped by our table multiple times to just chat.If I lived in the Bay Area, this would be a regular spot of mine.

I came across this cute new little joint today and although I didn't quite _need_ a pizza, it looked too good to say no to. I had the Montanaro, mozzarella with mushrooms, a little bit of guanciale, truffle oil and some herbs. Roman style, apparently, is DELICIOUS! AMAZING! FRAGRANT! TASTY! thick and cut into squares sorta like Golden Boy. And I don't want to say better than Golden Boy, because I love Golden Boy, but it's better than Golden Boy. At least right now. Come and get it. I'm having the left over slices for breakfast tomorrow.

Ordered delivery and it was excellent. I have high standards for pizza, having lived in New York and had some great stuff in Italy, but Gusto really impressed me. My favorite pizza/pinsa in the Bay Area so far.Update: the Montara and Cotto & Funghi (first order) are better than the Quattro Formaggi and Porcini e Speck (second order). Still recommended overall.

The margherita pinsa was different in a good way! The dough was fluffy on the inside with a light crisp on top, tasty!

Incredible pizzas. The dough is so light and fluffy, I would like to sleep on my pizza ! They have a great selection of beers. And on top of it the service is exceptional. We will be back for sure !

Great pizza! The dough is airy and has a delicious taste. The cheese and other ingredients we got on our pie were fresh and plentiful. The pizza here is very similar to what you'd get in Italy. Will definitely be going back.

The perfect neighborhood pizza (pinsa) spot. Just the right level of attention to ingredients and craft, without the hoopla of a fancy pie. Kind, attentive service in an absolute hole in the wall, and at a great price.

Super delicious little family owned place. I love coming here! Really excellent pinsas, good beverages, fast service. There aren't a ton of seats, so either come early, take to go, or expect a bit of wait for a table during dinner. I am really happy this place opened and am always looking forward to a visit here!

Really fantastic food, and service. The pizza was really unique in texture, and taste. The dough was really light, and and airy. The sauce was crushed tomato style, and was delicious. Seating is a bit tight, and I ended up sitting outside. It was comfortable, and there is something magical about sitting outside on a warm night, with delicious pizza. :) Highly recommended!

I don't know if Pinsa is healthier than pizza. I just know this pie was outstanding and that I slammed the whole thing in one sitting, plus a delicious cannoli. And I'll do it again the next time I'm in town.Seating is limited so expect a wait during prime time.

I had the pizza with smoked pork jowl and white truffle oil. The crust was fantastic and all the ingredients were very well put together. I highly suggest it.

Best pinsa in San Fran!

This place is one of the best kept secrets in the tendernob. Don’t ever change. The pizza is so good. They have vegan, vegetarian and meat options. They’re happy to cater to dairy-free as well (vegan cheese and cream!). The wait staff are incredibly kind, attentive and generous and happy to go out of their way.

Quaint Italian restaurant, lovely staff, lovely food. Everything was so good just so good.

This place is amazing! It is pretty small, so you would probably need to wait for a bit but it is totally worth it! Get one “pinsa” (healthier version of pizza which is still delicious) for yourself, they are perfect size for a meal. You won’t be disappointed!

The restaurant ambiance is trendy and reminded me of Western European cafes. It would be hard to fit a large group, but staff were very warm and friendly. We ordered the parma pinsa to go, and it was delicious! The crust definitely tastes different - would make sense if rice flour were a part of it. The ingredients tasted fresh and flavorful. Somehow I don’t get the “food coma” feeling I usually get after eating pizza... and Gusto pizza tastes much better than your average pizza :) Will give Del Popolo next door a run for its money!Only con was that they forgot about our order, so it didn’t get made until I reminded them (after waiting for 10m, having arrived at the time when the pizza was supposed to be ready) that I’d been waiting to pick up my order for a while. I’m optimistic those hiccups will go away over time

Just had the most epic pizza (pinsa) in quite a while - can really really recommend that place
